Freeze Out Hunger

The SVdP Freeze Out Hunger campaign is in efforts to uphold the SVdP mission and reduce food insecurity amongst Central Iowa.

Throughout the months of February and March individuals bring nonperishable items to drop off at the donation bins located at local businesses and conference parishes. All items donated go directly to SVdP’s two food pantries. The pantries request canned fruits and vegetables, soup, rice, peanut butter, pasta and pasta sauce, cereal, canned protein (tuna, salmon, chicken), and oatmeal. Last year our pantries received 3,532 pounds of food and over $15,000 in monetary donations.
